My Project

I made a personal purchase of a binding machine several years ago and it is on its last leg. I've used it to bind curriculum materials, student readers, and holiday gifts from my students, but my favorite use of it has always been our Birthday Books.

Each child receives a birthday book that has been created by their classmates.

Each classroom friend draws a picture of what gift they would like to give to the birthday boy or girl. I read the book during our birthday celebration and the child takes it home as a keepsake.
