My students need CGI (cognitively guided instruction) math materials including Place Value Activity Kit, Regrouping Activity Chart, and Count to 120! Magnetic Number Chart to add to our curriculum as well as ink to print out activity pages.
Each morning, students walk into my room with smiling faces ready to take on the first grade day. Students feel comfortable working in teams, communicating lesson ideas and questions together. By the end of the year, students feel confident and have a sense of pride in their work.
I teach first grade at a school that relies on parent involvement and funding.
The students range in ability levels and are highly motivated to learn. We have implemented Common Core instructional strategies through collaboration and at Common Core trainings and conferences this past year. The implementation of Common Core strategies will be the instructional focus for students this year. It is imperative that I have the tools and resources to properly implement these new strategies.
My Project
The tools I am requesting are CGI (cognitively guided instruction) math materials that will assist students learning in order to master skills. I am also requesting ink cartridges, so I can print out CGI math activities for students to prove their knowledge.
This donation will provide enough tools to help me teacher the Common Core goals I have learned through the trainings and conferences I have attended.
My students will be provided with many opportunities to work in small groups as they learn through each other and the content of lessons.
