My Students

The students I teach come from varied backgrounds in around Los Angeles. I teach in East Los Angeles in a STEM Magnet School.

I have the best students in the world.

What makes my students so special is the fact that they have been together as a group for the past three years in our Magnet school. It has helped them learn and grow together to be better citizens and better prepared for high school. We incorporate different teaching modalites to foster their creativity and love of learning grow.

My Project

My students will be able to experience math in a whole new way. The Innovator Rover will allow the students the use of technology in math class.

Students will have the opportunity to write their own programs or use pre-made programs to control the Rover.

They will learn basic calculator commands while at the same time applying their knowledge of math concepts to complete a series of challenges.

For example, my students will use their knowledge of the coordinate plane and linear equations to write code to have the Rover complete challenges.
