A have a group of amazing fifth graders that are eager to learn new things. Technology in the classroom is one thing that engages my students, but living in a rural, lower income area becomes a struggle for them at home. It is also harder for our school to come up with these resources in the classroom.
I want all students to have the same opportunities to use technology that will prepare them for their future careers.

My Project
My students love our STEM projects and we are in need of two new Sphero App-Enabled Robots. We can use the Sphero App to program our robot to move throughout obstacles that we create. We have used engineering skills along with coding to create a chariot that the robot will move to different locations in the classroom. We currently only have one working robot in our makerspace and my students would be thrilled to have more to go around. While half my class are working on coding the Sphero robots, the other half can be working on programming skills with the Puzzlet boards. They connect to our ipads through bluetooth and students program with a game like interface that will keep them engaged and challenged.
