Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Most of my students are English language learners who attend a Title I school where they all receive free lunch at school. We are an inner city school with high poverty. My students come to school every day full of life, all ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.
Despite their shortcomings, my students are enthusiastic learners!
They are always eager to learn and have some fun! My students always strive for their best so that they can be successful one day!
My Project
Since coding is an integral part of our 21st century of learning, my students must be prepared for their future careers in engineering and technology. Learning how to code will provide my students a better opportunity in preparation for their future.
My students will be able to use the Botley the Coding Robot and Action Challenge Accessory Pack during STEM lessons to learn how to code and do programming.
Students will learn how to create sequences of instructions and develop an understanding of programming while collaborating with other students. These programmable robots will stimulate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. This will help them become better problem solvers, future engineers, and open a world of opportunities for my students!
