I teach almost all of the six hundred students in my elementary school. They come to the computer lab with a love of learning all things technology. Our student population is General Education, Special Needs and English Language Learners. They are all inquisitive, generous and kind-hearted to each other. They love to learn as well as help each other out on new projects. When it comes to technology, they love to learn the newest things and how to apply them to the real world.
My Project
I have been introducing my Kindergartners how to Code off line with coding mice. They love taking turns with "Jack", "Cheddar" and "Provolone". Currently I have three of these mice to use in class; but in order to have all of my students actively working with the mice, I need to add more mice. The Kindergartners love learning how to solve puzzles with the coding mice as their first interaction with coding. Working with coding has become a large part of my curriculum and I'd like to make sure all my students have the chance to learn from an early age.
