My Students

Housed in three separate elementary buildings, the K-6 students in our school district are provided with the highest quality education possible.

Although our learners come to us with different experiences, attitudes, and family backgrounds, when they walk through the doors of our schools, they become a member of a unique community of learners who are encouraged to grow socially, emotionally, and mentally.

Our students are curious, innovative, creative, and enthusiastic learners. They are special because they want to learn.

My Project

I am currently trying to attain resources geared towards the youngest learners in our school district. Botley is recommended for children in grades K-1, so this coding robot would be the perfect addition to our Library MakerSpace STREAM centers.

Botley is a robot that can be easily programmed to follow basic commands through simple coding.

Targeted for children as young as five years old, this robot encourages critical thinking and problem solving skills as students learn to code him to navigate through activities related to core subjects such as math, reading, and science. He comes with coding cards to help young learners understand the foundation of coding so that they can grasp more advanced coding skills over time.
