Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students walk into my classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what they will learn that day. Many of them come to school with a great amount of baggage, but are able to put that aside while in school in order to learn the most that they can. My students are from a low-income area and and therefore have minimal resources and opportunities at home. Some of my students lost many personal items, due to Hurricane Harvey.
Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best.
My students will benefit tremendously from your generous donations.
My Project
My students will begin acquiring coding skills by working with the robot kits along with the iPad apps. Once they are comfortable with coding they will move on to more challenging phases and create different coding programs.
Through the implementation of technology students are able to learn life-long skills of problem solving and how to use technology integration in the workforce.
The skills gained from problem-solving through coding and programming help guide students to be successful in some of the highest growing professions in our society. As our world is revolving more and more around technology, I believe these robots will help prepare my students in this new technology era.
