This school year, I am the homeroom teacher to a great group of first-grader. Our goal for our students is to have them fall in love with school so that they will become life long learners.
My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions!
They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside of the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
My Project
Coding will introduce students to engineering, basic electronics, and computer science. Coding with Dash and Dot robots will help empower students by giving them tools to consume and create content. Dash and Dot robots makes learning fun. Learning to code will help build confidence and increase student participation. Students will develop communication, storytelling, problem solving, critical thinking, and collaborative skills.
Learning about coding will help prepare students for jobs that will be in high demand in the future.
I am requesting Osmo coding games that will add a whole new level to our coding learning with iPad coding skills. The Osmo coding games provide students with creating a sequence of code to move through the different parts of the game. The sequences include motions, turns, and stops. These skills will help my students to grow their knowledge of coding, a valuable skill for our future.
