Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are anxious and willing to learn, but I work at a school with poverty. 80% of students receive free or reduced lunch. Many students struggle to bring in supplies that will help them learn.

The students know that me, their teacher, and their parents want them to succeed, but money is very thin.

Please consider that these materials are going to bring joy to the students, knowing someone out there is willing to help them that they don’t know!

My Project

The laptop will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My students have been reading and hearing about the Robotics Programs around in the area and they want to learn how to code so they can start to participate in a Robotics Program. The students are ready to go and they just need the technology to help them with the rest. This laptop will be used to help the students learn how to code and give the students an opportunity to code.

Coding is something that is sparking my student's interest in learning and this laptop will bring them the joy they have been looking for!
