This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have a great STEM program starting up at our middle school. Robotics classes at every grade level! The kids are so excited! and so are the teachers! We need some Spheros to kick this off in a big way!

Out of the 1.9 million college students with bachelor's degrees from the United States, only 55,367 have a computer science degree while only 1 in 10 high schools in the United States currently offers computer science classes.

My Project

These Spheros are a great way to get the kids started with programming and excited about robotics. They get to create their own maze and "train" the Spheros to follow the maze. They use basic block coding to tell the Sphero which direction to go and for how far. It is amazing what they can do and learn with these little guys. :D

In the future, everyone will be a software engineer and barely any will know how to code.

WE NEED CODERS! Out students will get the hang of coding with the Spheros before moving on to bigger projects!
