Coding Into the Real World!

My students need the Ozobot Bit Coding Robots to allow my students to program and code in small groups. The Dash Robots are yet another great way to get students to program and code!

My Students

My students are EXCITED! They are lovers of learning. They are incredible critical thinkers and are always up for challenging and "stretching" their brains. I believe that it is my job as an educator to get them prepared for the world that they will dive into after their schooling.

The second graders in my classroom are capable of so many wonderful things and have so much to give this world!

They are creators, makers, and innovators. They have had little to no experience with programming and coding and I want to get them excited about programming!

My Project

The value of being able to physically see what you have created is indescribable. Many students get the chance to program characters on screens and games, but rarely get the opportunity to physically and visually see what their programming can really do! With these robots, they would be able to watch their hard work come to life!

The students will be able to experience successes and failures all the while determining where they may need to fix their mistakes.

These robots would be used in small group settings which would allow the students to get a close look at how coding and programming works. It is an experience many students would remember for a lifetime!

They will code the robots to move in certain ways and perform certain actions. They will physically see that they are creating movement based on a language that robots can read. I will also use these as a way to complete review questions for tests and have them direct the robot to their answers. The possibilities are endless!
