Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a tremendous group of students this year. They are very excited to learn. We've only been in school for a week, and they're already turning in assignments from Google Slides. Not just that, they're asking for more ways to use technology in the classroom. I even have a couple of students that are turning in things electronically instead of on paper.

This year was made even more special by having students from families that I already have a positive relationship with.

My Project

The students will use the SPHERO SPRK for real-life applied coding. We will be making our own mazes for the Sphero SPRK to travel through. It will be a totally different experience to see what happens when they make errors and have successes. That will get us to our next goal. We will apply that knowledge to our LEGO competitions.

This project will help make learning code fun.

This will be the first opportunity that my students will have programming. I want them to have every chance to experience different forms of technology. It's something I would want for my own children.
