My students need 3 Chromebooks to be able to learn to code, do research and understand that computers are a tool.
This project expired on December 30, 2015.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My kindergarteners come in every morning eager to work. We have a poster in our window that says "Make Every Day Epic!". We are working hard to live up to that. They are busy and get right down to business. They are fearless and want to learn.
We have many different languages spoken in my classroom.
But a common language is the computer. They love to help each other and explore. They have no fear. Many come from homes with no computers at all. They will now become the experts in their families. They will go home and teach their families and change their lives.
My students will do coding and learn problem solving. We have STmath that teaches by doing, not telling that they will practice on. We will keyboard, a skill that will take us into the future. By adding more Chromebooks each year, we hopefully will have a 2 to 1 ratio. This will allow them to work cooperatively and learn more.
Having the Chromebooks will expose young people to tools they will use the rest of their lives.
It will allow to have a head start and produce work to help them succeed. They will become experts and teach their families.
