My students practice being S.U.P..E.R (Safe, Understanding, Polite, E-Healthy, and Respectful) online and would love to add to their technology classroom. Students from kindergarten to fifth grade our from a very diverse population of nearly 600. The technology classroom services all students including special needs and students from over forty different countries. The English as the Second Language population is over 100 attending each year. Students receive computer class every fourth day of their daily schedule. Students love keyboarding lessons and digital citizenship activities as they work on desktop Apple computers.
My Project
This project will allow students to have the essentials like headphones for daily use by 150 students per day. This project also gives students an opportunity to learn beginning coding skills with a non-screen coding robot, by the name of Botley. Botley also comes with accessories that create challenging games for students to interact with each other and other coding robots.
Students need to see the fun in technology!
This project also gives students rewards for showing good behavior at school by means of "candy" that students earn with their points they earn for positive behavior throughout the school building.
