My Students

My students range from kindergarten to fifth grade. We approach learning in our classroom by using inquiry-based lessons. This type of learning is giving my students what they need in order to be competent in the twenty-first century workforce. Our lab is a place where students are immersed in learning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, ​and Math).

My students participate in centers that help them develop their higher-order thinking skills, reasoning skills, how to use teamwork, become an investigative thinker and develop creativity.

My Project

Dash is a real robot that responds to voice commands. It also works with free downloadable apps. Students can watch their virtual coding turn into tangible learning experiences in real time as Dash, with its performance and multiple sensors, interacts with and responds to its surroundings.

A thoughtful design and approachable personality make Dash the perfect companion for both boys and girls, right out of the box.

Botley is a colorful robot and remote control combo that teaches kids beginner code. Children can program their Botley coding robot by entering a code on the remote and then ask Botley to 'run the code'. Kids will learn the basic concepts of coding like algorithms, loops and debugging while playing with Botley.

The students will be able to use Dash an Botley in a variety of ways throughout the year in order to learn coding. It will be beneficial for students from Kindergarten to fifth grade.
