My Students
Our school is in a borough of New York City. We are a Pre-K through 8th-grade school. Our students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures. We definitely represent the diversity of New York City. Some of our students are English Language Learners, some have special needs and some of our students come from military families.
Our school motto is: "We are more than a school, we are a family."

My Project
Coding in the classroom is an excellent way to introduce students to an aspect of computer science. These coding robots will help my younger students understand coding. It will also help them foster their critical thinking skills and team working skills. Computer science should be accessible to students of all ages. Botley the Coding Robot is the perfect way to bring computer science to younger students. Additionally, students will be immersed in an area that may influence them later on in their academic careers. I hope to utilize these robots for students now and in the future! The students will be so motivated to learn!
