This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students from South Yonkers, NY are dedicated and hardworking. In my science classroom, I see my students strive to be the best that they can be every day.

My students always want to learn more about the natural world around them and how the world connects to science.

My students love science and hands-on activities. I want my students to be able to submerge themselves in science and mathematics in an exploratory manner to build a positive and inclusive learning environment. I want to pave a pathway for students to join a STEM field later in the future.

I want my students to have an equal opportunity to be as successful as I know they can be!

My Project

Minority groups are extremely under represented in coding and computer science fields currently. My 7th and 8th graders would benefit from having Chromebooks in the classroom because they would be able to practice and develop coding skills.

All students should have a chance to explore and build coding skills to allow them to have an equal opportunity in the job field in the future.

I want to do everything in my power to build my students' knowledge so they can excel in future coding and computer science jobs to represent our under represented.
