My Students

Lombardy students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging learning opportunities and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school, live or virtually, each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

My Project

Covid-19 has greatly impacted the learning of all students and insturctional strategies of teachers. Educators have been forced to be more creative with their instruction. The majority of students are learning on-line from home, learning to code would be an excellent skill to learn. Code Monkey is an online, coding program for students Pre K-8th grade. Lombardy students will have access to standards based coding activites at their grade level. The subscription I am requesting will be accessible for the remainder of the school year.

Students can work independently through various coding programs including block based learning and text based learning.

Additionally, there is an Advanced based learning for students who are ready for an additional challenge.
