My students need these tools to learn how coding works and create solutions for tomorrow. The ozobots will give students hands on learning opportunities to demonstrate how their code works and can challenge their thinking.
My students are creative, curious, and above all are ready for the future! They are always ready for a challenge. They are connected to the world and are empathetic to some of the world's problems that still need to be solved. My students love hands-on learning and enjoy creating projects.
My students are creative and critical thinkers and not only think outside the box, but they are willing to change the box!
This year, students use our new Innovation Lab to build and design prototypes. They are encouraged to think like real engineers, innovators, and makers and use the design process to guide them. I have also introduced them to coding and how learning this skill is important to their future. Not only do I want them to be aware of how the apps and devices work, but I what them to feel empowered to change the world and maybe that way is with coding the next greatest app and program that doesn't exist yet!
My Project
Challenge-based Learning Opportunities are very motivating and engaging for students. With ozobots students can learn how to code as well have a ton of fun doing it!
We just don't have enough robots and resources for all kids to perform this challenges at one time.
I offer our students different challenges using robots to code with, one challenge they enjoy is "Robots Travel the World" where they need to creatively write a story and their robot moves around to different places provided their lines of code. My students love seeing what they can do with code and it gives them practical and hands on learning with something they love, ROBOTS!
