Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school consists of a diverse low economic population of students and families who work at an exceedingly high rate of effort. We are a Title I school, which means that 90% of the children receive free or reduced lunch. Our families and teachers work above the norm at wanting the very best for our children because we all believe that they have that special spark that will take them beyond the next level. I believe in them and all they can accomplish.
My Project
Technology is everywhere in my students life. It is important that they don't just use technology but they understand how it works. Wonder Workshop's Dot and Dash robots will be a great way for them to begin to understand the process.
My students will feel incredibly empowered as they are engaged in creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration.
My students will use Dot and Dash Robots and Spheros to put together narratives to tell stories, create models, math problems, art projects and many other things. There are tons of possibilities.
The Apple Pen is an amazing stylus that my students can use for taking notes, capturing observations on a field trip, shading detailed illustrations with all the tools from an art room, marking up documents, and anything else students need to do.
I strive to create a classroom where technology is a necessary skill used to contribute to the ever-changing world.
