Help me give my 27 diverse students the tools to make learning accessible. In our ICT classroom, we have a wide range of abled students. Each of our students come from diverse learning backgrounds with varying strengths and needs. At our Title I school, each of our students is held to high standards and we want to make self-determination and independence attainable by supporting each child in the individual way they need.
Our students are most successful when they're given the tools they need for learning.
My Project
The micro:bits and ring bit cars will be the first exposure to coding that my diverse class of students received. My goal is to give students who might not otherwise be exposed to coding and financial literacy the tools they need to operate in the 21st century. I have a range of learners from countries from all around the world. In my classroom I bridge project based learned and STEAM to make learning engaging, exciting, and relevant.
Developed coding skills and financial literacy skills are crucial to supporting my young students in the development of critical thinking and real world skills.
I can almost see them collaborating, creating, and computing now!
