My Students
Students at my school come from an extremely high poverty area. These students have many problems both in and out of school. Even with these challenges, the students are always anxious to learn new things!
As a new Library/Media Specialist, I am working hard to transform our media center into a fun, creative, collaborative area for my students.
Many of my students do not have technology available at home, so my goal is to expose them to as much technology as possible while at school.
My Project
Cozmo is a super cute robot for beginning coders. He interacts with students, talks to them, and explores his surroundings. As students interact with Cozmo, he becomes smarter and presents harder challenges for them. Cozmo comes equipped with power cubes that students can use to play memory games. On top of all these fun features, he teaches students to code.
Cozmo has an amazing personality that will have students excited to code every time they visit the library.
Cozmo uses the Code Lab platform that is perfect for beginning coders. Cozmo will bring fun and learning to our library's Makerspace.
