This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
It is a true pleasure to work with students who are problem solvers, abstract, complex, logical and insightful thinkers. They delight in hands-on activities that require them to think outside of the box to find multiple ways to solve problems.
My students are the driving force behind my love of teaching.
My students range from second-fifth grade and are identified as Academically Gifted (AG). They are fearless when it comes to technology! They need the opportunity to explore and to be prepared to use a variety of tools that will assist them in their future careers.
My Project
The Ozobots will build 21st-century skills and bring digital concepts to life! The Ozobots allow students to learn grade-level standards through hands-on exploration. Through collaboration, students will learn how to problem solve and demonstrate their creative thinkings skills. The Ozobots help students strengthen computational, sequential thinking and spatial reasoning.
Ozobots are friendly enough for the youngest coders yet powerful enough for the college student!
This tiny, yet robust robot will grant me the opportunity to expose my students of multiple grade levels to coding through each content area.
I have witnessed first hand the enthusiasm and the knowledge students gain when they are given the opportunity to explore grade level concepts through technology.
