My students need Dash and Dot Robots to learn about coding and robotics for our STEM curriculum.

I have been fulfilling my lifelong ambition of teaching and inspiring children for over 11 years. My passion is to help my students reach their potential and, in doing so, discover the joy of learning.
I have the opportunity to teach 30 unique students at a public school.
My school is a K-8, Title I school, where all of the students receive free breakfast and lunch and come from low-income families. My school encourages a diverse approach to learning that inspires each student to learn, achieve, and remain committed to high standards in all content areas.
My students are lacking some of the necessary supplies and resources needed to be successful with our science curriculum. This year, I implemented a STEM center in my classroom. I have purchased the STEM materials on my own. After working with my students with the STEM activities, they have especially taken a liking to coding and robots. Unfortunately, I do not have robots yet in our classroom for them to code. After researching age appropriate programmable robots, the Dash and Dot Robots have been at the top of the chart in ratings. They have been ranked number one as an Educational STEM toy.
Having Dash and Dot Robots in our class will allow my students to engage in interactive, hands-on coding lessons.
Using free apps on tablets, my students will learn how to write programs that allow the robots to move, speak and light up. They will apply critical thinking skills, collaborate together, and learn STEM to the fullest!
With a little direction, support, and the right resources, my students will be on their way to be our future engineers and leaders!
