My students need WeDo kits to be able to bring coding to life in real world situations. The Core Set is designed for classrooms to enhance student's skills in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are located in an area with limited family resources which makes them very curious about different place. Some have never left the town limits. They have big dreams of where they want to go and work in their futures. They love exploring books about animals and different places to travel. Each student brings their own creativity to their reports and love sharing the material they learned with the class. Each student has a unique way of attacking a challenge and grow as they work with classmates to become team players.

My Project

There is are more than one way to solve a problem. My students get to do coding in class to see an object move on their iPad and we want to bring this idea to life. The WeDo2 kits allow the students to do project base learning. They will learn the application of creating a successful mission. Lego has created a platform that is really instrumental for engaging students and making them college and career ready, which is our ultimate goal. We are working to create students that are 21st century thinkers which can collaborate as a team to achieve a common goal. Success is the only option in creating our future workforce.
