Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom and school are full of wonderfully creative students from a diverse group of cultures and backgrounds. Our school is a Title I school just minutes from the Mexican and US border. Everyone here receives free breakfast and lunch. Most of our students need help to get the basic materials needed to be successful in school.
With a creative STEM robot kit, our students will have the opportunity to be creative while they learn to code.
Our students deserve to have the opportunity to code and to see how coding can be used in lots of different ways. They will be able to show their understanding of coding during distance learning and at school.
My Project
I teach coding to students from different grade levels. I am designing different project ideas that can be used either at school or at home where my students get to be creative with robots. The students will decide how they will practice their coding. With this kit, they will decide if they build something or, perhaps, if they will act out a story or play. The Puzzlets will help my younger students learn to organize their code.
With the Wonder Workshop Maker Pack my students will be able to create at school or from home.
With this Maker Pack, my students will have a choice as to how they want to learn to code. Some like to engineer, others love to create art. Your generous donation will help give my students a choice to code what they love.
