Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Working in a low income/high poverty school it is difficult to allow my students minds to fully absorb all of what learning has to offer due to lack of materials. This year I am happy to announce that rather than being a resource room teacher I have been assigned to Co-Teach for the students with disabilities in an eigth grade classroom. With that said I want to be able to provide my students with fun, colorful, and exciting materials.
The students coming up to eighth grade I have watched grow since they were young.
I want to have the privilege to set them free for high school with the best year ever. Please help to support my classroom for both us teachers and our wonderful students. Thank you in advance.
My Project
This year I am currently working as a Special Education teacher in a CTT classroom. In addition I am also responsible of the SETSS students that are in the other 8th grade classroom. The materials I requested will be used to help not only differentiate but organize my students to help guide them in the right direction for the school year.
The laminator will be used to laminate important class notes prior to entering them into student binders.
The bins will be used to help guide both Math and ELA groups with differentiating ability levels without making students aware of "high, medium, low". The poster paper will be used to make process charts that are bright and eye catchy!!
