CNC Our Future

Help me give my students the ability to make their designs come to life. We will use this machine to engrave props and build prototypes. The CNC is also able to be upgraded.

My Students

Most of my students come from a low economic status. Many of them do not have enough food at home much less any technology. With that being said, my students are amazingly resilient. They come early and leave late, and are eager to learn. At the beginning of the year we go over what they know about computers, for most of them it is the first time they have had a chance to use something other than a cell phone. They pick it up quickly and love when I bring in something new.

My Project

My students will use the CNC router to make their projects come to life. We work on building props for our competitions and the CNC will help us to have greater detail and flexibility in our designs. Many students have never worked on computers much less ant cad work. This is the best! It has been an amazing journey watching the excitement on their faces when they see the completed designs. The props and set designs will be used in our competition. Being able to build them is the next step in learning and you can help make that happen.
