No, we are not talking about ancient caveman techniques. We would like to introduce our fifth graders to stimulating extra-curricular activities. In a recent survey, students told us that they would love some afterschool activities that would "keep them off the streets". Our fifth grade team enthusiastically agreed that we would volunteer our time two days a week to staff these clubs for our students. We feel that early intervention with fifth graders could help them make better choices in the future. Would you help us offer three clubs for our students? Using our strengths and talents as teachers, we will introduce chess, sewing, and journalism to our fifth graders. We are excited about the relationships that will be built afterschool each week. It will give us an opportunity to be with our students in a different environment. There are no grades, just fun and fellowship. Thank you for helping our future!
