This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students represent the beautiful diversity of coming from all parts of the city. They are passionate about learning and seeking independence. This is the most transformative part of their development. They are energetic, inquisitive, and ready for opportunities.

My students bring incredibly unique perspectives and experiences to the classroom.

This dynamic further enhances their creativity and potential for learning. I am in awe of the manner in which they challenge each other's ideas and build off of them to gain a better understanding.

My Project

Access to laptops will support my students in enhancing the learning of math concepts through interactive visuals and engaging games. Students will have the opportunity to work on projects and presentations in a digital format.

Distance learning gave access to technological literacy and this skill should not be diminished; it is crucial for students to have opportunities to explore mathematics and its applications.

Students enjoy standards-based math games and become more excited about the concepts. Mathematics can be intimidating. With a balance of challenging group tasks, individual practice, and an opportunity to have fun with play, learning residue results.
