Closing the Gaps With Math Workshop!

Help me give my students storage bins, privacy shields, classroom clocks, and other math manipulatives they need to be successful during math workshop!

My Project

The 3rd graders in my classroom are most successful when the learning is hands-on. We teach and reinforce the math standards in third grade through the use of engaging Math Workshop games and activities. I have already created the games, they just are missing the necessary pieces to be properly implemented! For example, the privacy shields will help students hide their work during a place-value guessing game, and the clock manipulatives will be used in almost every game that goes along with our measuring time unit. The dice, dominos, and playing cards are built into multiplication and division activities, like "Inverse Operation Station!" The cardstock and lamination sheets keep the games durable so that they can be enjoyed over and over again. The clear storage bins will keep the games organized and allow for students to independently find and play the games during math workshops.

These necessary manipulatives will help with student engagement in math, which in turn will result in a higher level of understanding.

By donating to our project you will help create many options for students to engage in math workshops, as well as help purchase the necessary items to properly implement math workshops in the classroom. Help us close the learning gaps in mathematics in an exciting and engaging way!
