My Students
I teach Special Education at a Title I elementary school. Being a Title I school, I serve many low income families. I have a range of students from Kindergarten through Fourth grade that I see daily. I teach two subjects: language and math. My kids have a love for learning and deserve to have the supplies needed to do so. Each year I see many students that I served the year before so I am able to make lasting relationships with the students and their families so that I can best determine what materials will help them succeed and grow.
My Project
When this project gets funded my students will be able to have all of the resources for remote learning that they would normally have at school.
During this very compromised time in education it is important for my students to feel confident in their ability to learn. The best way to make that happen is to provide them with physical resources and manipulatives to use in their work. Having a solid digital curriculum and good supplemental support is another great way for students to feel confident in learning. Students do best with a good plan!
