This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an enthusiastic and fun group of typical English speakers, English Language Learners and Special Education Kindergarten students. My students are curious and eager about learning and for many, it is their first experience in an educational setting. We are in a school with limited resources that serves a high poverty and transient population of families from many different countries. Many of my students' families do not have the means or resources at home to provide the educational practice needed to be successful.

My Project

I like to provide my students with engaging math and literacy centers. The problem is finding the right storage solution. I would like to use this letter size boxes to store the centers by math topics and literacy skills. I would like to be able to have easy access to the centers for review and if a student needs extra practice on a specific skill that they still have not yet mastered. The letter size boxes will also keep all recording sheets that go with the centers in one place. These boxes would make organization and accessibility possible and develop a well organized classroom.
