Help me give my students clipboards to provide space for them to work away from their desks, and focus on their writing.

I teach in a suburb of Detroit. We have approximately 53% of our students who qualify for free and reduced price lunch. Our school is a Leader in Me School which helps to develop students who are empowered to be leaders. In my classroom, I work to build an environment that encourages students to love and support each other. We build on each other's strengths to develop confidence in each other. Our learning environment allows students to construct their own meaning through inquiry and project-based learning. In our room, we learn, laugh, and love!
As a writing teacher, clipboards are essential for conferencing with students. I can walk around and easily record new things students are trying and jot down quick notes to make sure they are making progress towards achieving their goals as developing writers.
Adding the use of clipboards throughout the day can provide an opportunity for greater student engagement.
Whether students are working independently, in a small group, or even completing a whole-group task; clipboards can be a great tool. Using clipboards also allows for students to move around the room and use classroom resources. The convenience of a clipboard makes a huge difference in the classroom.
