My students need clipboards and meter/yard sticks to help us with our STEM projects, center activities, and other activities that have us out of our seats and active around the classroom and school building.
I have three classes of approximately 28 students each.
My students are an exceptional group of fourth graders that are eager to explore and learn!
They love learning about our world and how things work! They love exploring through hands-on opportunities, special projects, reading and role play! They are very energetic and always open to new learning ventures. Our school is an exceptional one where we are teaching students how to learn and grow by thinking for themselves. My students are from all different socioeconomic levels and backgrounds. This is our school's second year and we are still trying to accumulate the essential items we need for our classrooms.

So much of the learning process occurs by DOING, not by sitting and listening to someone talk about it or reading it in a textbook. Our goal as fourth-grade teachers is to do just this! We are requesting clipboards and task card frames to help our students get out of their seats, moving around the room (and school building), and learning our curriculum through active and engaging STEM projects and other fun learning activities. If each child has their own clipboard, they will be able to stay neat and organized while keeping all of their assignment's work and data together in one place. The picture frames will act as task card holders for the activities.
In addition, many of our fourth grade Math and Science activities call for students to use measurement skills to collect data. We are requesting these meter/yardsticks because they will help students practice measuring in both centimeters and inches.
