Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the school nurse for about six hundred students in an urban school that is in a Title I district. Our students are full of life and compassion at an elementary school.

Our campus services classes for students from Pre-K to fifth-grade level.

In our diverse student body, I see on average of forty-five to fifty children a day for various reasons in the clinic. We are currently in need of items to help store and organize student's important document and keep my triage area clean and sanitary.

My Project

During this time of online learning and working from home I am finding that some of my normal programs are not working on my current Chromebook. This makes it very hard to serve my staff and students sufficiently.

I am needing a laptop that is Windows based so that I can install and access all of my programs.

I have also added a wireless keyboard, as well as large desk pad to protect my desk. My desk also serves as a triage area to talk to students. Sometime my desk gets body fluids on it and needs to be sanitized. These pads are waterproof and will make the desk be easier to be cleaned.
