My students need Clipboard Dry Erase Whiteboards to have an eco-friendly, reusable way of doing vocabulary work and Filexec 3x5 Index Cases to organize and store their work.
My students and I are part of a wonderful Title I school. We are a very diverse school and our students come from many different backgrounds. Students in our school speak over 20 languages! Many of our students are currently learning English. Our goal here is to meet the needs of our students. To assist us in meeting these needs, we provide support for students in the classroom and classes for parents to teach them the English language.
Each day is an inspiration as we learn together.
I love to teach and I look forward to providing my students with new opportunities! Our students are our future and they deserve the best!
My Project
Though the end of the school year is approaching, our students are continuing their hard work as they navigate through their journey of acquiring and utilizing new vocabulary. Our school has recently become a Teachers College Reading and Writing Project school and our students are so excited to learn more through literacy.
Given our school's diverse population and high number of English Language Learners, learning new vocabulary is often a challenge.
Using tools such as whiteboards and dry erase markers, can foster opportunities for our readers and writers to become more independent when doing word work. Using manila folders as personal word walls and index cards allow students to compile, store, and reference the hard work that they have done.
These supplies will create new, effective ways for students to do the great work that they are doing!
