This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are some of the most hard working students I know. They never give up no matter how hard things get. They have some of the greatest attitudes and I could not ask for more. Despite many hardships and challenges they thrive through anything that comes in their way. Our Northside Jet Band kids are just awesome. Our band students love playing and continue to impress day in and out. With the right resources our students will shine to the fullest. Go Jets!!!

My Project

Help our program get the percussion equipment we need to make the proper sounds for our music. The wind chimes are such a vital part for quiet and vibrant sounds in a percussion section. We are in desperate need of a new set of chimes. The temple blocks help give off that clickety clop sounds like horses riding. We have been without a set of temple blocks. Many of our pieces of music need them. Currently my students are playing on a table mimicking the sounds of the blocks. These two pieces of equipment will help our percussion section make the music!
