My Students

When we said our goodbyes in March, I did not think it would be the last time we would be together in our classroom for the duration of the 2019-2020 school year. Like many of my colleagues, I assumed we would be back after Spring Break. When I learned we would be finishing our school year off with non-traditional learning due to the Coronavirus, not only was I devastated, but so were my kids.

These are unprecedented times and I miss being in the classroom together, and having the sense of normality we had before COVID-19.

I teach 70 of the best little second graders around, and I need to support them now more than ever.

We are a Title I school from NY, where it was hit the hardest, and our school is over 70% free and reduced-price lunch. Many of my students and their families are struggling to get these distance learning assignments done because they don't have means to a printer! With this ink, I would be able to print the work for them in advance and either mail or deliver it to these families.

My Project

Donating to our project would be help us out a great deal. I would have a good supply to keep us in business for awhile! Ink allows me to create differentiated instruction and tailor education to meet every child's specific needs. I can print checklists and lower level reading passages for my struggling learners, and enrichment tasks for my higher learners. I would then be able to print letters to the class, and keep communication open during these rough times.

Distance learning has really taken a toll on my students and their families, and having this ink would help me to print essential work, and send it to families that are struggling!

This ink is so important to to my students for completing classroom projects, and their success to the end of this year and the beginning of next! I would be able to print out so many necessary items that I can then just send to my families in the most need.

Not being in the classroom has really made me need to rely on my personal supplies, which I just don't have anymore of. Students need to be able to have resources available to them in order for them to succeed, and with your help they will.
