My students need math computer games to help expand our math stations to include technology and continue to test their skills in a new and exciting way.
We are a fun loving group of first graders. We are active and curious about the world around us. We love to learn through books, games, songs, and resources that help us get up and move.
We are learning about the world around us in so many fun ways.
We have centers, group lessons, projects, and more. Each one of us is an important part of the learning that goes on in our class.
We come to school every day ready to learn and try our best.
My Project
Currently I do not have any programs where my students can use our classroom computers during math stations to utilize technology as a learning strategy. I think adding these computer games will really help to expand our math centers. It will add a whole new station that will help students to continue to be excited about math stations. Technology is such an important part of today's life for children so this project being fully funded will really help to bring math and technology into our classroom. I would love to see the concepts we are learning in class like addition and subtraction being practiced using these fun computer based games. The math quiz show game I think will also be a great resource to help review as a class in a fun and different way. I believe that giving my students the opportunity to use the computers to practice their math skills will help them to retain more information because it will be in a format that they enjoy.
