My students are energetic, creative, and enthusiastic about learning. We are a school of dedicated staff led by a visionary principal. Each day is a new day to inspire our students to learn and grow.
My students experience music from many cultures through singing, movement, and playing instruments.
I help connect our classroom musical experiences to their daily lives so the learning in our classroom extends beyond the classroom walls. I look forward to their continued growth throughout this school year!
My Project
You can put instruments in the the little hands of my youngest musicians! We will create sounds that match songs, onomatopoeia in children's books, and sounds heard in everyday life. Music comes alive when kids can create sounds with their own hands.
Help young learners explore sound through percussion instruments!
Instruments work best when we have enough. Otherwise we waste precious learning time organizing turn taking. A wide selection of instruments offers students choice in their learning and encourages creativity. I'm asking for a Tick Tock Block, Finger Cymbals, Single-Headed Rubber Mallets for Glockenspiel, Mounted Sleigh Bells, and Large Rubber Mallets.
This project also includes a few key children's books that we will use along with these instruments including Row Row Row Your Boat, Over in a River: Flowing Out to the Sea, and The Bear Went Over the Mountain. This makes connections to literacy, and helps visual learners make sense of auditory information.
Thank you so much for helping make this project a success!
