My students enjoy building and creating. It may be creating a tableaux, re-enactment, composing song/rap/poem or designing a ship or even constructing a persuasive essay. These are some uniquely creative young scholars that really enjoy sinking their teeth into a project.
What makes these kids unique is their determination to create something special!
These students are not easily satisfied with a project until it is refined enough to earn a top grade or score on it. That is what sets our students apart from others. Testing hypothesis and re-testing it again and again is something these kids enjoy doing! In addition to this, many enjoy the art of performance through re-enacting scenes in the plays and historic events breathing new life into ancient history.
Your donation will not pay for the entire trip. But, it will make the cost for students more manageable. Going to the Cleveland Museum of Art is one the most amazing experiences we can have in Ohio as we study Ancient History. Yes, it’s a 5 hour round trip and extended day trip that is a long day of learning. Is it worth it? Yes! We come into contact with art and artifacts from Ancient Greece and Rome that we would usually only see in books and on Google Images! We actually get to touch artifacts that were made over 2,000 years ago!
During the initial part of the new school year, we focus our learning on Ancient Greece and Rome.
No other museum in Ohio or near Columbus can provide the exposure to artifacts like Cleveland can.
