Clearing the Air in a Juvenile Jail

My students need fans due to the fact that the windows don't open and the air does not circulate in the room creating lethargy.

My Students

My students live inside a juvenile jail. They attend our school inside the jail. They are at-risk youth. We want them to have a smile when they come into our classroom. It is our hope they will re-engage with the educational process.

My students may have made a mistake in the past, but they are working hard to make a change in their lives.

They do great work when they are with us. We want to help them continue this great work, upon their release, when they return to the school they came from.

My Project

We are requesting supplies to help keep our classrooms running smoothly. We want to create a healthy environment for our students to learn in. The air does not circulate in the classrooms, nor can I open a window to let fresh air in. We need fans. These fans have excellent reviews with regards to circulating the air in an entire room. Please help us clear the air.

We hope to inspire our students to go college.

We want to empower them to never return to a jail or prison again. California has one of the highest recidivism rates in the nation. We hope to fight this, and with your help, we believe that we can.
