Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a variety of countries! Some have been here for years and others weeks or months. They are up against many things including a language barrier. I want to provide a cleanliness closet, the students will be able to come and take what they need whenever they need it. These items will be able to be used immediately in the bathroom and then they will be able to take these items home. This closet will be available for all the students in the school, but mostly used by the middle school students.
The students need the self confidence to be successful, these deodorants, hand sanitizers, and lip balms will give the kids that confidence.
I know that many students will take some items home to share with their families and I am happy that they will be able to do so without feeling insecure.
