This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my classroom are sixth-grade special education students. They have intellectual, sensory, and emotional impairments that are aided by inclusion in a small classroom setting. My students struggle with mathematics concepts, and this year our goals are to build confidence in our foundational math skills and to become more engaged with our learning.

My students work together as a community based on their learning styles and interests.

They work very hard, and a big issue for them is the retention of topics. I am always looking for new and interesting ways to help them to thrive and remember different topics. We are a part of a large school that celebrates inquisitive learning. All of my students are working hard towards high school and college by relating all of their topics to real-world​ situations.

My Project

My students work very hard and come to school most days with the things they need to learn. It would be beneficial for them to have some specific cleaning supplies that would help keep our classroom safer.

By having immediate access to paper towels tissues and hand sanitizer, my students will be able to make sure they are staying safe all the time with what they need!

The brooms will serve to clean up any mess as we create while we are learning. I would like to use the supplies to help us have the safest new year possible!
