My students need a clean, germ-free classroom so they can be there every day to learn. Since it is halfway through the year, we are also in need of some supplies!
My students are always eager to learn, and they get really excited when they are introduced to new concepts. These boys and girls learn best by engaging with hands-on activities or working with their peers. Every student comes to school with different experiences and a different home life. My goal for each student is to be successful in life. I am constantly thinking about their future, and I feel like what they do in school now will affect what happens later in their life.
About 60% of the students enrolled in our elementary school are on Free and/or Reduced Lunch.
Our school consists of grades K-4 with about 300 students. We live in a small community in Southeast Missouri.
My Project
The cleaning supplies would help us have a germ-free classroom where students would be able to be in attendance every day to learn. I like to have hand sanitizer out for the students to use. Every Friday, we clean out our desks, and wipe them with disinfectant wipes. The dry erase boards and markers help my students practice math problems. They also use these to practice their cursive and as a quick check for me to see if they understand. I have been borrowing dry erase boards from my co worker because I do not have enough. We are running low on dry erase marker as well.
