Help me give my students basic classroom supplies that help with their learning. We need to keep our students healthy and able to compete with their peers.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Currently, I work with grades 9-12 in AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, a National College Prep Program. We work with students to move forward as the next step ready by exploring colleges and careers. As you can see in the picture, students who come to my classroom have daily reminders and visuals about different college options. AVID helps all students through teaching strategies about writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading. We want to support our students with classroom basic supplies to encourage healthy learning and growing.
My Project
Students will be working on multiple projects throughout the year that requires materials and clean up material. This donation will allow students the opportunity to keep up with their peers. We also will be able to keep the classroom a clean environment with the wipes and tissues.
Please consider providing basic classroom supplies that are often overlooked during the school year.
Once school starts, supplies that are disposable get used and they are very limited. With your help, we can replenish supplies to be able to provide all students the chance to be successful and clean.
We are looking to have these supplies in the AVID classroom because it is a student's home away from home. I provide them with the support they need to tackle the hard AP and Honors courses while they move toward their college and career dreams.
