Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have over 10 different ethnicities in my Math class. They are my melting pot and connection to the world in five different continents. They are extremely eager to apply Mathematics to a real-world problem and curious about how to solve problems from a different perspective.
They are really struggling with our distance learning.
I hope to provide more in person schooling provided that I have everything I need to complete the task safely.
Although each high school student in my classroom absolutely loves learning multiple ways to solve a problem. They learn at different rates, therefore, challenging me to be creating in my lessons by using a variety of learning strategies, group work and alternative methods of celebrating their knowledge.
They are an amazing group of young adults that will brighten anyone’s day with their smiles and positive attitude towards learning that makes them a better human being.
My Project
The idea with the air purifiers is to provide the safest environment possible for my students during in person learning. My room has no windows and the only circulating air is through a portable fan close to my only door and the AC system which we are skeptical about it. Please help me make my room the safest possible in my school so I can resume in person classes to my most needed students taking Integrated Math I. I can bring them in small cohorts but I don't feel safe enough to do it until I get the desire equipment to filtrate the air in my room.
