As a middle school teacher in a very low-income school, I see that my students are faced with many challenges that occur in and out of school. When students come to our school, they feel a comfort, safety, and stability that they may not have at home. The students I teach love to receive positive praise and attention. I want to be able to provide my students with a safe, positive, and meaningful academic environment.

Over sixty-five percent of my students receive free and reduced-price lunch. Most students come from immigrant families and live in a low socioeconomic community. These factors may have a huge impact on the students' academic success as well as being exposed to experiences that build background knowledge.
When students enter my classroom, I believe it is important to focus on the growth and potential that each student has. I try to instill in my students that everyone can be a leader no matter what background you have or where you have come from.
My Project
In these new times, education goes hand to hand with staying safe and healthy. For students who will be coming to school, I want to provide the safest learning experience in my classroom. My students need to use headphones daily during our computer science class. While most do not have headphones, getting this project funded will not only supply my students with their own set of headphones but it will also give them a safe place that they can keep them while they are not using them.
These organizers and personal earbuds are a perfect way to keep my students organized and safe from others.
It is with your help that I will be able to give all my students the safety and security they need throughout the school year to keep healthy by not sharing supplies.
